Purpose and Objectives

Learnership Programme:

  • Successfully complete a National Certificate: Pharmacy Assistance Learnership Programme (Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant) and a Further Education and Training Certificate: Pharmacist Assistance (Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant) through the accredited Pharmacy Healthcare Academy
  • A structured learning programme that consists of a theoretical and practical component and that leads to a qualification that is registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF)

As a Learner on this programme you will be required to meet the following objectives:

  • Successfully complete the Learnership Training Contracts at a registered Clicks Pharmacy and under an approved tutor
  • Attend the required training interventions and successfully complete the competency assessments
  • Submit a Portfolio of Evidence
  • Provide support to the healthcare team in one of the Click’s Pharmacies under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist and within the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)

Qualification requirement: 

  • Essential requirement: completion of Grade 12 with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics, 60% in Mathematical Literacy and 50% in English

Training contract

A training contract is a three year learnership contract with a registered training office.

WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO

  • Creating multimedia products in partnership with business analysts, technical architects and software programmers
  • Creating digital images for the purpose of animation
  • Transferring audio/video files to be edited and manipulated digitally
  • Creating artwork to be used in video games
  • Creating animated sequences using computer software

WHAT COMPETENCIES YOU’LL REQUIRE

  • Understanding of Digital Marketing and Digital design
  • Knowledge of photography and videography
  • Thorough knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Particularly design software)
  • Must be able to work with strict deadlines and stick to them
  • IMPECCABLE attention to detail
  • Must be able to work well under pressure (Social Media never sleeps or waits for anyone)
  • And most importantly, you must be eager to learn, work well in a (awesome) team and have a positive attitude!

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Multimedia, Information Technology and/or Graphic Design
  • Should not be studying fulltime for the duration of the Programme
  • Be available full-time from 1 March 2017 to 28 February 2018
  • South African citizen between the ages of 20 and 35 years
  • Computer Literate (MS Office)
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Must be able to commute to workplace on their own
  • A good working knowledge of the health and wellness industry will be an advantage
