REQUIREMENTS : Grade 10 and above. Minimum of 1-year proven experience and more in a formal clinical
cleaning environment. EPWP with the most recent hospital/clinical cleaning experience
will be an advantage. Service certificate must be attached as proof of employment from
the company stated on the CV (EPWP contract or motivation from the immediate
supervisor where EPWP personnel is allocated, stamped and signed attached as proof
of being in the programme).
DUTIES : Cleaning services of a routine nature utilizing a variety of heavy duty cleaning
equipments, cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas in the hospital. terminal cleaning
of infectious areas. Strip and seal vinyl floors, scrubbing tiled floors, vacuum of carpet
floors. Cleaning windows, walls, door frames and handles. Cleaning of bathrooms and
toilets. Emptying, cleaning of general waste bin in designated areas. Perform any other
cleaning activities as directed by team leader or supervisor. Cope with physical
demands of the work individually or in a team. Be prepared to be rotated to different
areas in the hospital, shift work including night duty, public holidays and weekend.

NOTE : Medical surveillance will be conducted on the recommended applicants, at no cost.

DUTIES : Undertake activities associate with maintaining cleanliness of designated areas

communication specific cleaning material requirement. Clean ablutions facilities,
mopping floors and wiping ceramic surfaces, replacing toilet rolls, hand towels, etc.
and checking and reporting defective items to the immediate supervisor for

KPA’s: Provide cleaning services: Clean all the designated areas such as ward bed-side, doctor’s room, change room, toilets. Clean all items such as windows, walls, basins, sinks, lockers and pans. Sweep, mop and polish all floors of the designated areas in the institution.

Provide routine general work and compliance services: Open windows every day for hygiene and infection control purposes. Damp and dry dusting.

Empty dustbins in all the designated areas in the institution. Periodically assess and update toilet cleaning check list in line with set hygienic standards.

Request and replace toilet papers /towels and hand wash soap. Remove and store waste in the designated area. Sort and clean soiled linen.

Sluice linen and put linen in the linen bag.

Fetch food from the kitchen.

Wash dishes and utensils.

Report safety and hazardous threats in the cleaning environment. Provide routine maintenance services: Clean and take proper care of cleaning equipment.

Store and safeguard cleaning material and equipment.

Report electrical or mechanical malfunctioning of cleaning machines and other related equipment.

Requisition and replenish cleaning material as and when required.
