MOTOR MECHANIC INTERN (Mechanical Services: Polokwane Garage)Location: Polokwane, Limpopo

Additional Requirements:

  • Be in possession of a minimum N3 qualification in Motor Mechanics or qualified in Mechanical Engineering

Core Functions:

  • Perform quality and cost effective repairs and maintenance of SAPS vehicles
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Diagnose, strip and determine the parts required for services and repairs
  • Complete parts request list for the parts required per vehicle
  • Complete job card with regards to work done and actual time taken
  • Ensure safe keeping of tools and equipment
  • Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (Act 83 of 1995)

GENERAL

  • Only the official application form for the internship programme (available on DPSA website and at all Provincial SAPS Garages) will be accepted. All instructions on the application form must be adhered to. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of the application.
  • The reference number of the post must be correctly specified on the application form.
  • A Curriculum Vitae must be submitted together with the application form.
  • Certified copies of an applicant’s ID document, Senior Certificate and all post school educational qualifications obtained must also be submitted and attached to every application. Certified copies should not be older than 3 months. No faxed or e-mailed applications will be considered.
  • Applicants will be subjected to fingerprint screening.

Location: Nationwide

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries presents exciting opportunities / positions for unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 through its Experiential Training and Internship Programme. Successful applicants will be appointed as interns for 12 months and will undergo on-the-job development training in technical, professional, public service, business and life skills relevant and crucial for them to enter the formal job market. The opportunities / positions presented are categorised as follows:

Agri-export Technologists Programme 
Ref. AETP / 2018

This category of opportunities calls for qualified unemployed graduates in possession of a 3-year (minimum) national qualification in one of the following fields: Agricultural Sciences; Food Technology; or Environmental Health. They will participate in the Agri- export Technologists Programme to gain both practical experience and employment in the perishable products export industry of South Africa. Successful candidates will be placed with relevant industry organisations under the guidance and leadership of the Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB). Candidates applying for this category must motivate on a separate page (no less than 300 words) why they think they should be considered for this programme and will be subjected to further adjudication by PPECB for final selection. Applicants must be entering the internship programme in government for the first time.

Traffic Officer Learnerships R3000 Per Month

The  Gauteng Department of Community Safety invites applications for 100 Traffic Officer Learnership opportunities currently available.This Learnership is offered at the Boekenthoutkloof Traffic College, and therefore Traffic Learners would be expected to leave in-house.

Successful candidates will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract with the Department and completion of the course, learners will receive a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officer: NQF. A stipend of R 3 000 will be offered per month over the duration of this learnership programme (Reference number: 001172)

The training of traffic officers will be done in terms of the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) registered qualification for traffic officers. The qualification currently comprises of a total of 172 credits. To ensure that the specific outcome of the unit standards within the registered qualification are met, the qualification has been divided into seven modules i.e. Module 1 Personal orientation learning material. Module 2 Legislation and people. Module 3 Legislation and traffic. Module 4 Legislation and vehicle compliance. Module 5 Legislation and traffic hazards. Module 6 Load compliance. Module 7 Communication with customers.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 and must be 35 years or younger.
  • At least a Code B Valid Driver’s licence.
  • A name clearance certificate from South African Police Services indicating that the applicants does not have a criminal record or pending case against you.
  • South African Citizenship
  • Applicants must be physically fit.
