PROCESS TRAINEE – (6 months Contract)

Sappi Ngodwana Mill seeks to place a suitably prospective Process Trainees for training and development Program within the Pulp and Paper Industry based at the Ngodwana Mill

REPORTING TO:  Human Resources Consultant: Learning and Development

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete section specific training as per the requirements of the position profiles in that  section within the agreed timeframe
  • Complete a General and Plant Specific induction
  • Complete legal training as per mill and section requirement
  • Maintains a high level of  good housekeeping in the workplace at all times

KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS



  • Computer literate
  • Sound Analytical and Problem Solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A good team player with strong communication skills
  • Good written and verbal presentation skills

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 (Math’s and Physical Science)/ N3 Pulp and Paper
  • Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Diploma  in Chemical Engineering will be advantageous

Coca-Cola Beverage South Africa is the largest of the individual countries and sells approximately 600MUC per annum 

  • The person in this role must interact with the ARS team, Commercial functions together with the Knowledge and Insights Manager, as well as Product Category Managers in order to ensure pricing strategies are implemented, reviewed, and adjusted within the relevant categories, packs, brands and customers.
  • The successful candidates will undergo a 12 month training programme to gain knowledge and experience in Sales, LDP Operations, Logistics and Stakeholder Management as they relate to Alternative Revenue Streams and the Coffee Business.
  • The Management Trainee will ensure efficient and effective completion of all delegated initiatives or projects.

Skills Development In an effort to prepare the Graduate Trainee for life after the program, the training program will look to provide the participant with skills.

Location: Pretoria

Purpose

The purpose of the Graduate Trainee Development programmes is to groom the most deserving members of our society and expose them to the working environment. The rationale behind this initiative is to train and empower graduates who have just come out of tertiary institution and do not necessarily have previous work experience. The duration of the programme is twelve (12) months.

Skills Development In an effort to prepare the Graduate Trainee for life after the program, the training program will look to provide the participant with the following skills:

  • Workplace Etiquette;
  • Stakeholder relationship;
  • Communication skills;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • Analytical Skills; and
  • Problem Solving kills.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be an unemployed South African graduate;
  • Have completed their course work and are looking for in-service training.

Qualifications

  • Finance: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting) / Diploma in the Accounting field 
  • Supply Chain Management: Hold a degree in Supply Chain
  • Case Management: Hold aLLB degree with / without LPT or a BCom degree
