1. Primary Job Purpose

The successful Candidates will be afforded an opportunity to enrol in an external Unemployed (18.2 B1) Learnership programme leading to the selected qualification as a qualified Artisan.

2. Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and
    English (all with minimum 40% pass), or
  • N2 or higher with 4 / 5 subjects as per the specific Discipline Requirements
    or,
  • NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum
    40% pass.

3. Trade Test Requirements

  • 3.1. A minimum of N2 Subjects/ certificate with applicable subjects for
    the relevant trade as specified.
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Relevant Trade Theory
    • Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings or Plating Structural
      Drawings
    • NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum

  • 3.2. The appointed learner will sign:
    • Exposure Learning Contract where the learner commits him / herself to
      perform as required and obtain the minimum N2 or any required subjects applicable
      to the trade, necessary for qualifying and be evaluated to qualify for a
      Learnership
    • Learnership Contract where the learner commits him / herself to perform
      as required and complete all necessary modules prescribed within specified
      period.
  • 3.3. Where applicable the Company will support the appointed learner to
    achieve the minimum requirements by allowing the learner to attend a full trimester
    to obtain the relevant N2 subjects for the trade.

4. Learnership Conditions

  • Must be prepared to work underground/surface and in plants “dusty areas”,
    and an eleven-day fortnight shift where applicable
  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must pass the relevant Rehabilitation Functionality Assessment (RFA) &
    medical certificate of fitness, and
  • Selection of Candidates will be based upon the Anglo American Platinum selection
    and recruitment procedure.

Clicks Learnerships CT-Joburg and Kroonstad

Clicks has an exciting opportunity available to complete a Learnership Programme to qualify as a Pharmacist Assistant. The position reports to the Pharmacy Manager.

Purpose and Objectives

Learnership Programme:

  • Successfully complete a National Certificate: Pharmacy Assistance Learnership Programme (Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant) and a Further Education and Training Certificate: Pharmacist Assistance (Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant) through the accredited Pharmacy Healthcare Academy
  • A structured learning programme that consists of a theoretical and practical component and that leads to a qualification that is registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF)

As a Learner on this programme you will be required to meet the following objectives:

  • Successfully complete the Learnership Training Contracts at a registered Clicks Pharmacy and under an approved tutor
  • Attend the required training interventions and successfully complete the competency assessments
  • Submit a Portfolio of Evidence
  • Provide support to the healthcare team in one of the Click’s Pharmacies under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist and within the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)

Requirements

Qualification requirement:

  • Essential requirement: completion of Grade 12 with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics (or 60% in Mathematical Literacy) ; 50% in English and a Pass in Life Science (Biology)/Physics

  • Successful applicants will be required to enter into a work back agreement and will be required to work for Clicks as a qualified Pharmacist Assistant for a period equal to the length of the learnership period as a minimum
