Description
The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible to ensure accurate and timeous processing of all cashbook transactions. 

Here’s what you can expect to be doing in the role:

  • Ensure that all information is collated timeously for cash flow reporting and is complete
  • Ensure that the daily cash report is accurate and complete
  • Ensure daily bank balances for all accounts is updated
  • Ensure that daily bank transactions are processed accurately and timeously
  • Ensure that the cashbook and general ledger accounts are complete
  • Ensure that petty cash, credit card and CFC transactions are processed accurately and timeously
  • Ensure that all showroom recons are processed accurately and timeously
  • Ensure that all bank accounts are reconciled monthly
  • Ensure that a record is kept of all bank recons performed and reviewed
  • Ensure effective management of the daily operations of petty cash
  • Ensure that all petty cash requests are in compliance with company’s policies and procedures
  • Ensure that petty cash is controlled and safeguarded
  • Ensure that the petty cash is reconciled monthly

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 1 – 2 Years’ cashbook experience
  • Intermediate / Advanced level of Excel skill
  • Passion for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Deadline driven, with ability to streamline processes to meet targeted objectives
  • Excited by new challenges and able to adapt and learn new skills
  • Skilled communicator, with ability to provide clear and concise feedback on work done
  • Ability to work well under pressure
