To develop and facilitate learning solutions, focusing on building capability & competence that will enable and promote the delivery of the Guardrisk strategy and the MMI strategic objectives. Ensure all learning solutions are aligned with the overall Guardrisk Learning & Talent strategy and clients ‘needs. 


Liaise with managers to determine day to day training needs and schedule training sessions 
Deliver soft skills training and bespoke technical training to operational staff 
Support and mentor new employees through the on-boarding process 
Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement 
Monitor employee performance in response to training 
Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment 
Manage the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs as well as on-going learning opportunities across the organization, in support of the organisation’s needs 
Manage the upkeep of all technical learning material 
Utilize a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs 
Conduct specific training needs assessments to support the design, development and delivery of corporate training programs and strategies 
Partner with individual departments to outline deliverables, expectations and risks, to include specific training needs for staff 
Produce training schedules and lesson plans for all training interventions 
Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually
Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues, evaluation etc. Determine overall effectiveness of programmes and make improvements 
Manage and report on all e-learning course 
Manage and report on all elements of the FAIS requirements to management. Manage and maintain the FAIS competency register 
Prepare learning reports for submission to management for the various operations and governance forums in the business

At least 3-4 years’ experience as learning and development consultant 
Extensive experience in the facilitation of behavioural and technical training to operational staff 
Demonstrated success in developing and deploying learning projects, interventions, programmes and solution, preferably in a corporate financial services environment 
Experience in customizing content or curriculum, adapting generic content via redesign, optimising technology, development of exercises, simulations, gamification and role-plays to fit different types of learners 
Extensive learnership, internship and graduate programme experience 
Exposure to the Financial Services industry, exposure to Insurance environment is a must. 
Knowledge and understanding of the FAIS Fit and Proper requirements 
Understanding of the SDA, BBBEE and related legislation and its influence on business practices 
Strong knowledge of instructional design, development processes, delivery and evaluation methods 
Knowledge in TBL design 
Understanding the ADDIE model of Instructional Design 
Knowledge and skills in adult learning, training and related industry trends 
Knowledge of learning facilitation methodologies
