Spread the love

Many applicants for the Sassa R350 grant are left with a status saying ‘Pending’ and don’t know what this means or where their application is. Read more to find out what this means and also what happens to your application after you apply.

Many applicants of the Sassa SRD R350 grant have said that their status is on ‘Pending’. Sassa has said that ‘Pending’ means your application has not yet been approved. Sassa is still in the process of scanning your details so that it can be verified first.

Once approved, you will receive an SMS from SASSA requesting your banking details, then you will be paid. If you applied in May and you qualify, you will be approved and receive your May payment.

Sassa has encouraged applicants to, “Please keep checking your status if it has not yet been approved”.

It is important to not hat there is no fixed date for the Covid-19 special grant to be paid.

The applicant will be paid for each month as long as they still meet the qualification criteria. Each month the application will be verified to ensure that the applicant still qualifies for that particular month.

Sassa takes three days to approve an application after seeing it.

Once applications are approved, SASSA will request confirmation of bank account though a secure site – this will also be done electronically. Any applicant has the right to request confirmation that this request is from SASSA to protect themselves.
